Since having children (some years ago now!) I have failed to find any exercise I have been able to stick to and it was getting harder and harder to stay fit.
I have now been training with Olivia for 8 months and really enjoying it. Olivia changes it each session so it’s never boring and always challenging!
With a great temperament, Olivia is very encouraging and keeps the sessions fun.
I’m certainly a lot fitter than I was before I started and somewhat leaner too!
I can highly recommend.
Massage
Personal Training
Xtra-Fit offers massage sessions which are provided by Hélène Glaude. There are five different types of massage to choose from:
- Deep Tissue
- Relaxing
- Anti-Cellulite
- Thai Yoga (without oil)
- Oriental
Details on these types of massage you can find below.
Deep Tissue
A preventative and restorative treatment designed to ease tight muscles. It uses a mix of classic massage strokes, with increased pressure, typically following the muscle from insertion to origin. The aim is to reduce muscle tension by releasing knots and restoring elasticity. Deep tissue massage is also designed to increase blood flow to targeted muscles, kick-starting the body’s natural healing process.
Relaxing
This treatment is the perfect way to de-stress, unwind and chill out. Using light, flowing strokes and high-quality oil, your massage therapist will carefully release your muscles and calm your nervous system. A gentle, nurturing massage for when you need a little self-care.
Anti-Cellulite
This pleasurable massage treatment is designed to release the areas where cellulite most commonly appears and to engage the body’s natural healing process (blood and lymph circulation). This hands-on treatment uses stroking, kneading and rhythmic motions to loosen fatty tissues and smooth out the skin’s surface. It will also boost your energy.
Thai Yoga (without oil)
This calmly combines massage with gentle yoga to help you gain flexibility and feel relaxed - you'll be fully clothed and on a mat for this one.
At the meeting point between massage and yoga, this technique combines guided stretches and targeted massage to unblock your energetic channels and calm your mind. This type of Thai massage has been used for centuries to balance the body, boost blood circulation and release tension along acupressure points. Thai Yoga massage is a unique treatment that will leave you feeling refreshed and comfortable.
Oriental
This treatment brings pampering, deep massage and stretching together to help promote flexibility and a sense of relaxation.
A combination of Acupressure therapy and Deep Tissue massage techniques, used together to encourage blood circulation and release tension. Oriental massage can increase physical flexibility and help to resolve postural misalignments, while clearing and balancing your energy channels.
